--BASICS-- Name:  Martha Age: 26 Sex: Female Race: Human-ish --APPEARANCE-- Height: She's about 5'5" when hunched over which is most of the time. When standing up right she's a few inches taller, and when on her third "leg" she towers at around 8 feet. Weight: between 400 and 500 pounds. Build: Her legs and torso are rather muscular from hefting around the worm for a year, but she looks scrawny because of mal nutrition. Skin: A bit tanned from wandering around uncovered on hot sunny days. The worm's skin is a shade of grey-ish purple as well as any part of her that the worm has healed.  Martha was bothered by the scent of something delicious wafting in from the docks, an odd reaction considering that all she had eaten for a week was uncooked pasta. She plodded off towards the smell of rotten fish while the worm flickered its tendrils in and out impatiently, tasting the air like a snake. The scent was coming from the docks which were few blocks away; a long walk, but one devoid of the usual crackling gunfire and inhuman shrieks that were now as mundane to her as the honking and rumbling of city traffic.  History: Alk's early years are dull consisting of the training all guard-types like him go though and shifting from one post to the next. Not excelling at anything in particular his duties placed him at a historical museum which was to be his permanent post.  It's at this time he met Lam who was put on a similar post and the two eventually became friends, but Lam quickly showed a proficiency to various humanities and was whisked away for tutoring. The ocean rolled its fluid body while the sun slowly floated across it from its place in the sky, vanishing on one side and reappearing on the other.
